Fit Finlay, who has been working recently with ROH, has now re-signed with WWE. It is unclear whether we will see him in-ring, it is more likely that he will be involved in developing new talent.
Due to the Waldo Canyon fire, next Tuesday;s Smackdown show at the World Arena in Colorado Springs has been canceled.
WWE will tape both Raw and Smackdown in Denver at the Pepsi Arena.
WWE announced today that Charlie Sheen will be the “Celebrity Social Media Ambassador” for the 1,000th Raw, 23rd July.
Sheen’s role will be to watch Raw on television and tweet during the show.
This is part of WWE’s continued effort to get people to stop watching Raw and go on-line instead.
The main event announced for this week’s Smackdown taping is Sheamus versus Alberto Del Rio versus Dolph Ziggler in a three-way match for the World Heavyweight Championship.
TNA has filed a lawsuit against Scott Steiner for his recent disparaging comments about TNA, Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan via his Twitter account.
TNA’s claim is that Steiner’s last contract, which expired at the end of last year, had a clause that stated that he could not “make any statements or provide information, written, verbal or otherwise, which directly or indirectly disparages or casts in a negative light any TNA officers, employees, representatives, affiliates, shareholders, licensees and/or past or current TNA talent.”
It is unclear, however, whether this clause still counts as Steiner is no longer under contract with TNA.
The lawsuit reads as follows: “In blatant disregard of the parties’ Agreeement, Steiner has engaged in a concerted effort to disparage TNA, its wrestlers, and other talent and cast hem in a negative light.”
